This is a gluten-free version of a cake that I loved growing up.  It's easy to make and very rich.&lt;br /&gt;

  2 eggs&lt;br /&gt;
  1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling&lt;br /&gt;
  1 tsp almond extract (may use vanilla extract if you want)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Mix together by hand. Put into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Do not mix too much. Batter will be thick. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Ice while warm.&lt;br /&gt;
