Sanaví Harisín (Gluten Free)

Sanaví (sahn-ah-VEE) is one of Europe's premier makers of products for restricted diets. The name comes from the Spanish words "sana" [healthy] and "vida" [life]. It's more than just a slogan. The products taste great and the company combines an ISO-9000 certified quality control process with independent lab testing to ensure that every Harasín product complies with the strictest gluten-free standard.

The Harisín (harr-re-SEEN) name refers specifically to Sanaví's gluten-free product line. The name is a contraction of the Spanish words "harina" [wheat flour] and "sín" [without]. In addition to being wheat- and gluten-free, many Harasín items are also casein-free (look for "milk free" in the product listings).

Ingredients: Corn starch, potato starch, powdered skim milk, sugars, thickening agents (Guar gum and pectin), gasifiers (gluconodeltalactone and sodium bicarbonate), soy flour, mono- and diglycerides (emulsifier), iron and vitamins B1, B2, B6 and niacin. Powdered dried natural yeast (8g). Contains corn, soy, milk, and potato.

Sanavi Harisin Bread and Pastry Mix - 55 Pound Bag. This versatile mix is ideal for making bread, pizza crusts, and pastries. The basic bread recipe can be found at this link. The photo shows the 1.1 pound retail box, but this is the 55 pound bulk size, packaged in a polyolefin "burlap" bag. Shelf life is 18 months from date of production if kept in a cool, dry place.
