Le Veneziane

"Le Veneziane" is an authentic Italian pasta noted for its high quality and excellent flavor. The pasta is made by the "Molino de Ferro" company, which is based in Northern Italy a few miles north of Venice (Venezia) in the village of Vedelago. Corn has been cultivated in this area for centuries, and on this soil five generations of millers have perfected techniques for producing corn products with intense flavor and exceptional texture. "Le Veneziane" can be translated as "the one from Venice". We call it "LV" for short.

Some customers have asked about the meaning of the words "Gli Spaghetti" on the label. "Gli" simply means "the" in Italian.

Le Veneziane Penne.  Made with 100% corn flour, this gluten-free pasta from Italy rivals the quality of Bi-Aglut.

Penne is a tube-shaped pasta about 1.5 inches long. The word "rigate" indicates that this penne has little "ridges" that help hold onto your favorite sauces. The rich golden color comes from the carotenes (vitamin A) that occur naturally in corn.

Dittalini are O's or short tubes. This shape is often used for soup, or to make your own gluten-free spaghetti-Os.
