The Harifen line is made in Spain by Sanaví, a company specializing in foods for special diets. The Harifen line is specially formulated with low protein and amino acid content. These products are suitable for the dietetic treatment of diseases related to the protein metabolism, such as phenylketonuria (PKU), chronic renal disease, hepatic insufficiency and other metabolic disorders. The Harifen line allows people with these conditions to prepare more balanced and varied meals without limiting their quantities. Additional Harifen products may be available by special request.

Sanavi Harifen Low-Protein Macaroni (Penne). A delicious pasta that is low in protein and phenylalanine, made especially for people with phenylketonuria (PKU), renal insufficiency, or other medical conditions requiring a low-protein diet.

It is also free of sugar, lactose, milk and salt and is low in sodium, potassium and phosphorus.

Ingredients: Corn starch, tapioca starch, potato starch, mono- and diglycerides (E-471) and natural extract of carrot.

Although this pasta is produced entirely from gluten-free ingredients, since it is primarily intended for low protein diets it is not lab tested for gluten.

Ingredients: Corn starch, potato starch, tapioca starch, sugars, fiber (oligofructose), guar gum, leavening agents (sodium bicarbonate and glucono-delta-lactone), calcium stearoyl lactate (an emulsifier), iron and vitamins B1, B2, B6, and niacin.
