When Luke was diagnosed with celiac disease, his parents altered the way they shopped and cooked. They studied labels, frequented health food stores and started making their own bread, cakes, stuffing and pizza. The one item they couldn't find ready-made was a gluten-free ice cream cone. So Luke's father, who is pretty handy in the kitchen, set out to make a waffle cone his son could eat. After many taste tests and manufacturing attempts, the Cerrone Cone was ready for market.
